Fast approaching is the end of life date for three key Microsoft systems, namely Exchange 2003, Windows XP and Office 2003. Businesses need to evaluate what they are currently using and if any of these software products are still in use they need to upgrade them to a later version by the 8th April 2014.
Many companies will consider whether to upgrade and how important it is post April 2014. Although further functionality may not be on your priority list the need to ensure your systems are secure is paramount. Post 8th April 2014 Microsoft will no longer support or release any form of updates including security patches for Exchange 2003, Windows XP or Office 2003, essentially forcing companies to upgrade before or very soon after this date.
